This is information on how to edit the .dsc file of a map. The .dsc file is where the information about the map is stored. Ex: Map Type, Planet, Time, Weather, Briefing...
Right click on the file and choose Open With Then choose either Notepad or WordPad, if you have TribalIDE, use that, it's really good. For our clan, you'll change the map type to TE Maps Code: | $MDESC::Type = "TE Maps"; |
What that does, is it puts it in it's own category, that way when you vote on a map, you just look for TE Maps. From here you can change the information, you'll want to change the briefing.
Notes: The @ sign lets Tribes know that there is information after the line that it is on. /n means that it will put that line on the next line, it's like hitting Enter on your keyboard. /n/n is like double spacing on your computer (hitting Enter twice)
To add your own comments on the map information: Put "/n then <f1> whatever: <f0> information" (if there is another line, don't forget the @ sign) Ex:
Code: | "\n\n<f1>Map made by:<f0> TE-Krogoth." @ "\n<f1>Clan:<f0> The Exiled" @ "\n<f1>Clan Website:<f0> http://theexiled.pwnageservers.com"; |
Colors: <f0> Orange <f1>Light Yellow <f2>White <f3>Orange
