ok for anyone whos gonna build a new PC, or wants to buy PC stuff, this is for u.

Recently(a week ago) i helped my bro build a new PC.

Of the parts in the PC i'll write a short review of each

**Motherboard: Abit AT8 (RD480 chipset)
frankly its a nice mobo but it sucked ass, i hate it. The set up on it is soooo shitty if u plan on buying a dualslot ATi Card (take sup 2 slots) u will be left with 1 PCI slot at the bottom of the mobo. Whoever's idea to put the primary vid card slot at the bottom of th emobo is a dumbass. also if u dont have a keyboard plugged into the serial (old skool keyboard plug, not USB) the PC WILL NOT BOOT, EVER. and my bro likes his logitech so that was an issue.

i did like the Easy overclocking utility.

**Case: NZXT Lexa, danm this is one nice case

its a good case, few issues. first if ur gonna use a PCI slot card at the end of your case the fan located at the bottom u wont be able to use, npot a biggie.

the main issue. both side panelshad 1 issue. the bottom right hand corner of the panels kept getting bent if u remove the panel. maybe it was how i took it put bu ti lifted it straight out, pliers will fix this but its annoying.

Good cooling btw. 3 x 120mm fans and 1 80mm blow hole(top) also u can add an 80mm to the bottom of the case.

**CPU: AMD Opteron 146, 2 words. Freakin Fast.

this this OC's like a beast too. paired with the abit, its really easy to overclock.

** Coolers: Zalman 7000-Cu (processsor).\, its a good cooler, quiet, works well, temps are 30*C idel ~37*C load.

**video card cooler: Zalman VF-900
havent used it yet, it works tho i tested it, very good too, dual heat pipe and a VERY VERY nicely lapped base(lapped = smooth mirror like finish, its copper btw so its really smooth sinc ei can see my self in it)

**RAM: OCZ DDR500 2 x 1GB (2 GB total), it fast, overclocks well. i got nothign else totell ya, its RAM

**Video card: Before i tell u what he got, im gonna say, HOLY FREAKIN COW, Oblivion looks this good (google Elder Scrolls IV and look for screen shots)

hje runs oblivion at 1280 x 1024 with everything FULL AND HDR (high dynamic range) AND FULL ANTI-ALIASING

his card.

GeCube : X1900XT ($450 Newegg.com) u go to get this baby at best buy upwards of 600 i think)

it is a killer card. omg. im jealous.

looks liek this

see the dual slots (takes up 2 slots on ur PC thats what i meany by dualslot)

its pretty heavy too about 5 lbs i think.

also it is INSANELY LONG, it barely fits in the case, like 2 CM from the HDD's in the case. about 9 inches long i think, massive.

**Mouse: Razer Diamondback.

WOW. this is pwnage mouse, 1600 dpi. (yah 2000 dpi is the best) 1600 dpi is too much for me. way too fast. im coming from a Logitech MX700 with 1000 dpi and 1000 is good. its a good mouse but not for me. Too small i have big hands. also the side buttons are hard to press, i have yet to come acrosss a better company that sells good mice accept logitech. Logitech til death (logitech = pwnage)

**Headset: Logitech Premium Stereo Headset(thats what the box said)
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ ... NTID=10011

for 25 bucks (bestbuy) these are REALLY good. very good. amazing. still the base doesnt beat my 7.1 surround but i dont expect it to. bu the noise canceling. wow., nice. (im gonna get one soon, but as of now im sticking to my 7.1 since these are my brothers)
