ninjas are japanese assassins....they used katanas, but rather low quality ones. which is why they tried to get samurai's katanas cuz they were of higher quality than that of teh ninjas....i'll stop :| i was gonna explain why they're higher quality, but it doesnt seem necessary....and hammy is right. europeans first used the sabre (shortly followed by US soldiers during teh civil war) so....ninjas wouldnt be using them. at any rate, scimitars > sabres c_c
