Sweet.Im thinking of trying to do a triple boot between WinXP,SLAX,and DI
I just bought Tribes3 cause i got a sweet new computer,but my power supply isnt powerful enough to run Tribes 3

...doesnt make much sense..or sense at all... how can your powersupply not be able to run Tribes3? power supply sullpys power hence the name if u dont have enough power ur system shouldnt boot .... |

it means that his new videocard takes power from the powersupply directly .. that coupled with other instaled hardware might cause a weaker power supply to shut down on u.. but if thats really a problem then disconnect an extra cd drive or floppy and harddrive or anyhting to give the videocard extra power. |

or u might have a problem that i did once....a partially melted power supply. my PC would start up, make some funny noises and then BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH. not quite as severe as the blueSOD, but still pretty scary. anyways....yea my powersupply thingy was real old too so that might have been part of it. |

heres my total,and complete computer components: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice Core 1Gb gigaram + Thermaltake Heatsink MSI K8N Neo4/SLI Nvidia 6600GT 128Mb PCIEx16 (1,no second for SLI yet) Toshiba DVD Burner 30Gb Maxtor HDD 400Watt Rosewill PSU 1 red cold cathode 2x120mm fans,5x80mm fans,1x70mm fan 250Watt UPS/powerstrip <-Problem My powerstrip cannot give out enough energy to my comp when its running T3. Ive tried my system without the cold cathode+2x80mm fans and the 70mm fan all off,and this thing still needs more power.Im getting a new powerstrip once i get another $40. This one will be 450Watt,more than enough. Mind you,my comp is only about 4 months old. |

Power supply, not power strip. The power suplly is the thing you put the power cord into on the back of your tower. |

yeah,i know,i built the computer from parts i bought seperatly. My powersupply is completely fine,my powerstrip cant supply enough power from the wall outlet to the powersupply.its got a blinker when the computer needs more energy than it can give out. |
