FEAR is easy to run. Bf2 is a gigantic power whoring monster. the only reason FEAR takes a better vid card and whatnot is for all the lighting effects and anti aliasing. and it's still not on the level of Bf2. from what i've seen, textures arent what take alot of RAM, its shadows and lighting effects.

BF2 still uses more resources. Therefore it requires a hefty CPU, or a gigantor piece of RAM lodged into your motherboard.

To an optimist the glass is half full
To a pessimist the glass is half empty
To a programmer the glass is twice as big as it needs to be

its not about if it 'looks better'. its about how much there is to process. FEAR has rather small, linear levels with alot of scripted events. meaning...not alot to process. with Bf2, the maps are huge with tons of objects to track. and Bf2 does look a bit better than FEAR, IMHO.

sigh... BF2 looks amazing.. fear although impressive for small indoor environment jsut cant compete

i OWN all the games in question



maybe it has somethign to do with that crappy nvidia shader ur using
:D

totally. i own and have beaten FEAR and i play Bf2 once in awhile. and no matter what anyone says, Bf2 will always look better than FEAR. not gigantically massively better, but better all the same.
