I've used both ATi and Nvidia cards, and saw no difference except for the various graphical glitches/errors with Gforce cards.

As for drivers, don't you just install the new drivers over the old ones?

guys, nvidia gfx cards are more "powerful" they last longer and have higher resale values.

this card came out Nov 2004 still worth 120 dollars. it can run BF2 at high (no AA) w/o lag

while the X700 (sept 2004) is only worth 80 bucks

ofcourse the 6600GT kicks the X700 in the nuts. Bottom line - Nvidia is your best choice for Mid-range gfx, ATi has good top end cards, but ATi has no competitor to the Nvidia 7950GX2

Most people don't care about the resell value.

nvidia is better. Never had issues w/ them, they have life time warranties. eVGA will allow u to OC and stay in the warranty. ATi or anyother comepany that makes ATi cards do not have that

If they're the physical embodiment of perfection, why do they need this "life time warranty"?
