TriChEd - Tribes Chat Editor ----------------------------
Ever wonder how people in TRIBES games use those goofy voice commands that aren't on the chat menu? This is accomplished using Tribes' own scripting language. Until now, you had to manually edit CS files and type the voice commands in and bind them to keys. But now, TriChEd gives you a graphical user interface from which you can edit the in-game voice command menu (access by pressing V during gameplay) to add, remove, and edit voice commands.
* How it works :
TriChEd generates a script file called "chat.cs" in the "config" directory of your TRIBES installation. After you have started Tribes, you must press the ~ key to bring down the console interface, and type :
exec("chat.cs");
AFter you press ENTER you should see a response "Executing chat.cs". Now press ~ again to remove the console you are ready to sound off!
* Notes :
For some reason, placing this line in the autoexec.cs does not work - it seems TRIBES is rebuilding the default voice command menu *after* it executes the autoexec file.
This version of TriChEd works with version 1.3 of TRIBES. It may work fine with other versions, but has not been tested.
