I don't plan on modding until March, since its faster to find the snag before it happens, instead of spending a whole night scripting and testing script over and over.

This is really just a discussion topic, since I have no clue if this mod is even possible. I mean... is it possible to port Starsiege script to Starsiege: Tribes? That would be really pimp, because then we can actually do that tank thing like it should be. Of course, people will have to download a messload of script to get it to work but... it will be awesome.

Lol. ok. Remember When nox and i had the idea to start Halo mod.... Then it actual happened. Nox and Krog made Maps... Nox modded some. and me... THE PERFeCT TESTER! lol. well... i tryed to mod some. i know how to custumize weaps and stuff. (nothing majorly). But u should really use annhilation as a base. Its easier than Base to mod... just some suggestions. Also. Make ur own maps. That way It would make ur mod look cooler.

I'm thinking about making a Campaign map type for the Halo mod. It would take a lot of maps to do it...

C'mon, this isnt Halo Mod Discussion.

Besides, what I think we need to worry about now is whether it is possible to port Starsiege Mecha Code to Starsiege: Tribes. Therefore... Starsiege is the base. But it will host thru Starsiege:Tribes and require a client pack, which will weigh in at about 160 mb minimum... Tribes code takes up lots of space :)

Hopefully, somebody can link me to a topic about Starsiege code in Starsiege: Tribes, since they use the same engine and all.

It's probably going to take quite a bit of work to do that. The engines aren't the same, so a lot of the code will probably need to be re-worked.

I thought they were... they look exactly the same to each other. Even the "weapon view" code is a reworking of Starsiege Cockpit view code, where the inside is all glowy at times and everything. They use the same type of code, so we can port, we just need to make a few changes so Tribes can use the keybindings with it, along with some simple code for allowing the cockpit to turn.

If that doesn't work, we can try imitating the code from Starsiege and try to implement it. I think this job is more in tune with the guys at Annihilation.info, or some other modding-fest forum.
