C&C: RA 3 has been officially announced.

http://www.ea.com/redalert/

You can play the beta if you buy Kane's Wrath, the expansion pack for C&C: Tiberium Wars. Looks like the beta will be in the summer.

I can't buy into this, seeing as how C&C is more or less dead to me.

The only joy that I can extract from this crippled series is the occasional revisitation of C&C95/Red Alert.

I hope EA knows the only reason most people get the games is because they all support Westwood.

Nox and I were playing the beta version today, and we were disappointed. It's like you're playing with toy units. I was expecting something similar to Tiberium Wars, but it wasn't.

When you build a structure, it comes out of the Construction Yard as a vehicle, and then you deploy it. Terror drones can go underwater now, which is a +1 to the cheapness factor, and they can attach to the vehicles that come out of the Construction Yard (your future structures), which is another +1 to the cheapness factor. There aren't Ore fields any more, there's Ore Mines, which are the same thing, but I liked the fields.

I feel that Red Alert 2 is better than Red Alert 3.

RA1+expansions>RA2>RA3

Always goes like this, the original is almost always the best one.

Can you create hordes of Jet Troopers in RA1?

Didn't think so.

RA2 FTW

Well, that's always a point of opinion. I myself somehow preferred RA1(+expansions) to RA2. I mean, RA2 is good too, but RA1 has way more sentimental value for me. +I love the video clips :D
