Post subject:  So I notice

that the discussion pertaining to TE's expansion into a different game is still ongoing.

I've made suggestions in the past (disregard them, as I don't even remember what they were, nor do I believe they're still relevant to my interests) but the future of online gaming has been dropped on my face recently: I started playing World In Conflict online after spanking myself in single player bouts. I can't even touch another filthy, trashy RTS game after fondling the golden bosoms of Massive Entertainment's grand achievement.
I generally can't stand playing much of anything online, as the hordes of spraying, camping, illiterate Long Ding-Dong's tend to ruin every attempt I make at enjoying myself. But WiC is different: the only thing that can ruin it is if I have a poorly coordinated team that refuses to do anything as a cohesive unit, and, as a result, loses us the round. The near perfect balance combined with the strong emphasis on tactical, cooperative teamplay and communcation makes for the only truly good online gaming experience available today.

I imagine the usual dilemma of peoples' PCs being unable to handle how awesome this is will be present, but if TE really wants to get in on a new game, World In Conflict is not only the best way to go, it's the only way to go.

But, uh... I... uh... I've joined a clan already. If TE decides a mass exodus into the world of alternate history/World War III/blowing up France is workable, however, I will shuck and jive my way out of trouble and head back home*.

*I'll leave the clan I'm in and join TE if they get into World In Conflict.

Speaking of games I play online, I was doing some exploring around the website and ended up downloading Nox's 1.11 Tribes from the one page, and I just got done playing in <!>'s server.

I didn't know I'd missed spawn dueling and troll slapping so much. Also, I honestly thought Tribes was pushing up daisies, so I shed a tear of nostalgic relief when I saw that there were around 3 dozen people playing in about 7 different servers.

I played the demo of World in Conflict a while back. It was ... different. I'll try it again.

im no familiar with world in conflict, but I could take a peek .

i know that a few TE members are rpgers as well . my one suggestion for TE in that regard is Maplestory.http://maplestory.nexon.net/ Me and Fox have been playing it , For a free game its pretty good , and fully flexible to make you own unique look for your character .
ive also been playing MD zombie infection for cs 1.6 .

fun fun fun .

i guess ill have to dust off the tribes directory and give it a go as well if that many are back to playing again .

RPG's and MMORPG's are okay as long as they don't get repeatitive like Silkroad. I'm waiting for a game called Huxley to come out in the US. It's a MMORPGFPS. It's been beta testing in Korea.

well you might not like maplestory then , there is a repeativeness to building characters . but its like a platform rpg though , so its differnt in that reguard to silkroad and conquer online . if any one is interested you can look me up there under qpan .

a rpg/fps would be interesting , i like that concept alot .

Have you looked into Deus Ex, or, recentlier, STALKER: Shadow Of Chernobyl? Oh, and the sequel STALKER: Clear Sky is coming out either this month or next.

Just thought I'd throw that in.
