The Wii wasn't as chaotic, no, but they still sold out faster than you can say "Wemote".

There are too many great games on the consoles to honestly believe that you can get a decent gaming experience just by upgrading your PC.

right on GOOB , you cant just count on the pc for gaming, to keep pcs up to date gets way to expensive per yr . the pc game companies expect you to have the latest PC when they make games , they really dont make games for those with last yrs machines in mind .
you know that if you buy a console you can always play next yrs games for the console with out upgrading . in the end its the cheaper route .
it all comes down to what you can afford .

what i cant stand is the Wii or sony or Xbox fanboys that see nothing good in the other consoles ,that there console is the greatest . i just want to slap them.

Thats why you should save your money for a one-time update, update everything with the good ones out now, so you wont have to update it again for a while.

you would still need to buy a new pc basically every 2 yrs at the very least , where you can get close to 4 yrs before you gotta shell out far less money for a console . i would rather spend $300 every 3 yrs then $1500 every 2 , that not including the cost of the games but your still ahead with a console in the $$ department .

nothing against pc mind you , the big problem is the game companies dont care about lesser spec machines unlike the older days . its greed plain and simple cause the comp industry kicks money back to each other why do you think some games are made with specific graphic chip sets in mind

I just got myself a new video card. Less than 1 year after I got my last one. It doesn't take long for your hardware to start falling behind, and trying to keep up with the technology curve is financial suicide.

Consoles go through ~4-5 year cycles, each one costing about $300-$600. You can easily spend that much in half the time trying to keep your high end PC high end.

u can get a pc for1600 bucks that would last you atleast 4-5 yrs with gaming. i mean really. my computer is like5-6 yrs old and bout the only game i cnt play is the new ghost recons. every other game i can play. not well i mind u but i can play them.

a $1600 pc will barely get you 2 yrs you basically cant play anything fairly new let alone a new release after that first yr . thats all due to the greediness of the pc industry .
with a console you spend 300 bucks and get at least 4-5 yrs of gaming with no additional cost .
