yeah,i know,i built the computer from parts i bought seperatly.
My powersupply is completely fine,my powerstrip cant supply enough power from the wall outlet to the powersupply.its got a blinker when the computer needs more energy than it can give out.

Custom build it. Go to http://www.newegg.com and search for parts there.i got everything i have in my comp from there.their cheap too. got a gig of ram for $83,and the 6600Gt for $143. as for a CPU,i recomend an Athlon 64 of some type,like a 3200+(2.0 Ghz) or possibly a 3400+(2.2Ghz). Ahem.If i may shed some light on the situation. My opinion: AMD pwnz. AMD: Uses lower frequencies more efficiently,thus,runs at P4 speed or faster,and it runs 10C-50C cooler.In order for it to melt, the heatsink would have to be off.And my Athlon 64 3000+ does do a automatic shutoff at a temp i set....
